Description

This Singaporean flag is constructed in America using nylon, a lightweight fabric that flies regally, even in gentle breezes. Additionally, nylon dries quickly after contact with water, helping prevent mildew growth and increasing the lifetime of your flag. The stripes, crescent, and stars are digitally printed for a precise design and vivid, fade-resistant colors, making this flag ideal for the outdoors.

Our flags come equipped with a durable canvas heading and brass grommets for reliable mounting on one of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer the Singapore flag in sizes 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. The 3’ x 5’ flag is the most popular among our customers and is an excellent fit for our 6’ tangle-free house-mounted pole.

Singapore Flag Meaning & History

Singapore’s first flag was a British Blue Ensign with its coat of arms, as the region was part of the British Empire at the time. Singapore gained self-governance within the Empire on June 3, 1959, and officially adopted a national flag on December 3rd. This flag has remained unchanged since then.

The red stripe represents equality, while the white is for virtue and purity. The white crescent symbolizes the Islamic faith of the Malay population, while the stars refer to China’s flag for the Chinese population. The five stars stand for justice, progress, peace, equality, and democracy.

Singapore’s national flag design is heavily influenced by the flags of Malaysia, Indonesia, and China.
